When designing Hackers Nightlight, we aimed to create something truly unique—not just within the cybersecurity space, but also in the smart lighting world. We wanted it to stand out in a way that no other product does.

During this period, we checked out other smart lights on the market and, drawing from our experience of taking apart lights from different brands, we noticed something interesting—none of the big players are using addressable LEDs in a way that lets you manually control each one’s settings.
We decided to take advantage of this and included 8 addressable RGB LEDs on the LED array. All 8 LEDs can have their own color and brightness allowing for some interesting and unique patterns combined with the shade covering the LEDs, on top of that, Hackers night light LED array contains 10 warm LEDs (2800K-3100K) and 10 cold LEDs (5700K-6500K) allowing for many possibilities for fun and every day lighting.

In its current state, the WebUI has support to change RGB and CW light options, but does not yet support the ability to address each LED with its own color, brightness and pattern yet. We have full plans to add this feature in the future, as it comes with many challenges.
